I am so excited for this post! I hadn't really thought of Pinterest as an educational tool until I had to, is that bad? But in any case, I am so glad that Pinterest is there.
I love Pinterest anyway, so having to research things that are for an assignment and then in my actual teaching experience is so fun!
I decided to start off this post with a board about teaching math because math is something that needs to be spiced up sometimes to help with memory and things like that.
So here is the board with the things that I thought sounded fun, both to teach and for the students to learn from.
Teaching Math - Pinterest
I really spent quite a bit of time looking at the pins that I did pin, and made sure that the content was something that I thought I would use later, or someone else would find useful. I wasn't necessarily surprised at how many different methods and tricks there are to teaching math, but there were definitely some that I thought were ingenious. The videos made me laugh and I definitely would have enjoyed them if I was still in the beginning stages of learning math and math concepts. My aim is definitely toward the younger grades, because it is so crucial to learn those skills early.
